One that first night, an officer, Mr. John Pepper, chased a tall, thin, pale figure to the edge of the graveyard where the creature easily scaled the fence and vanished into the night. John was considered a jokester. When he called, the other officers to report what he saw, they thought it was a prank. Unable tot find the creature, the search dissipated. John Pepper moved away shortly after the incident. Riverside Cemetery - Appleton Kate Blood’s grave site is a hotbed of strange activity from eerie chills to blood oozing from the headstone and a dark hooded figure that roams around the site that vanishes before he can be caught. There are multiple tales that try to explain these phenomenons. One tale states that Kate Blood was considered a witch, child-killer, and/or adultress who was murdered by the hands of her husband. Another tale tells the story is that Kate Blood killed her husband and children with an axe before committing suicide. When researched, Kate Blood, who went by “Kitty”, was diagnosed with tuberculosis, so she went south to visit family and died in Lawrence, Kansas. Her husband, George M. Miller, outlived his wife by 42 years and remarried. My personal belief, is people made the gravesite haunted just because her last name is Blood Dartford Cemetery - Green Lake There have been reports of seeing apparitions of civil war soldiers, children, and a Native chief who supposedly died while trying to swim the Fox River on a drunken dare. If you sit on the roof of the mausoleum, a ghost of the children who died of polio, who are now buried in the cemetery, will push you odd the roof. Blood Cemetery - Stevens Point Within the cemetery, trees bleed actual drops of blood, people are chased by blue lights, and strong winds blow within the cemetery but not on the outside. Plainfield Cemetery - Plainfield On July 26, 1984, Ed Gein died of cancer at the age of 77 and buried with his family in Plainfield Cemetery. In that same cemetery are the graves he robbed, including a woman he killed, Bernice Worden. On June 15, 2000, Ed Gein, 150 lbs headstone was stolen. After being found with a Seattle Rock Band promoter who was selling rubbings of it for $50, it was kept in the Wautoma Museum because the police feared it would be stolen again. This monument was built by Archie Monument and Stone Company and its hands will mysteriously drip blood. Some say that the state comes to life and walks to Fowler Lake. It would be a service if you would take down the reference to Calvin Blood and the Woodville Cemetery. All of what you put up is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. Calvin Blood volunteered for two tours in the Civil War and was honorably discharged. He died of natural causes at the age of 84. The cemetery is closed to the public after years of vandalism and assaults on people nearby. If you need references to the truth please contact me. Otherwise let Calvin and his relatives rest in peace with some respect. Unfortunately the only truth is Calvin had an unfortunate name.
